Training course: Agent-based modeling and simulation (ABM-ABS)

20-30 October 2014 - The University of Southampton, the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research and the Vienna Institute of Demography co-hosted a two-week intensive course in agent-based modelling and simulation, with focus on demographic and social science applications.

The course aimed to develop skills in the simulation methodology, the use of an agent-based modelling language, software skills for practical implementation of agent-based models, as well as the design and analysis of computer experiments.

The course was held at the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR), Rostock, Germany, from Monday 20 October to Thursday 30 October 2014.
