  • BSA Conference 2015: Societies in Transition: Progression or Regression?

    15-17 April 2015 - This year the BSA annual conference took place at the Glasgow Caledonian University.

    Keynote speakers for the conference were; Alice Goffman, University of Wisconsin, Colin Samson, University of Essex and Guy Standing, SOAS University of London.

    CPC members Derek McGhee and Emilia Pietka-Nykaza presented a paper on 'Poles and the Scottish Independence Referendum: denizens' perspectives'; Ann Berrington presented 'Did I forget to have children?' Understanding the Postponement of Childbearing and Childlessness from a Life Course Perspective'; and Juliet Stone and Ann Berrington presented the paper 'Does perceived income adequacy matter for family formation? The role of subjective economic uncertainty for the transition to first and second births in the UK'.
