PopFest 2010

The eighteenth PopFest Conference was held at the University of St Andrews in association with the University of Dundee, from 28th to 30th June. PopFest is an annual conference organised by postgraduates from all disciplines studying any aspect of population and demography. The two keynote speakers, Tomas Sobotka and Catherine de Wenden, attracted a good and appreciative audience, and the postgraduate presenters delivered a range of interesting and diverse papers, each session ably chaired by fellow post-graduates. The most valuable element for the post-graduates was feedback from the floor and follow-up discussion stimulated by each presentation.

The conference was supported financially by the British Society of Population Studies (BSPS), Centre for Population Change (CPC), Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), GRADskills at the University of St Andrews, The Scottish Government and School of Geography and Geosciences, University of St Andrews.
