Migration in times of crisis - interview

CPC researcher, Dr Jakub Bijak, has been interviewed for the latest issue of Demographic Insights, a publication from the Population Europe Network.

The interview explores 'migration in times of crisis', examining how the economic downturn and rising unemployment in Europe have led to a stronger focus on migration in public debate.

"In the short run, migration may have a negative effect on the employment of native workers. This in turn can generate grievances and social tensions", says Dr Bijak.
