CPC researcher at Budget Briefing for business leaders

20 March 2014 - Professor David Bell spoke at this event in Glasgow aimed at helping business leaders to understand what the 2014 budget announcements will mean to business and individuals in Scotland.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer presented the 2014 budget on Wednesday, March 19 when the Government's plans for taxation, benefits, spending and forecasts for the economy were set out. Against a testing economic background, the challenge is to continue to raise revenue and at the same time provide a tax environment in which businesses can flourish.

This event, hosted by The Herald and Sunday Herald, saw Professor Bell speak as part of his ESRC-funded work on the economics of constitutional change in Scotland.
