Ann Berrington appointed to ESRC Strategic Advisory Network

Congratulations to CPC member Ann Berrington who has been appointed to the ESRC Strategic Advisory Network (SAN).

The SAN gives the ESRC access to a pool of academic and user experts who can provide support and advice on issues, proposals and decisions, including feedback on views within various stakeholder groups, and provision of input into general policy advice. The Network draws on a range of perspectives from across academia, business, third sector and Government.

Ann is one of 21 new members will take up their appointments on 1 April 2019. She is currently a Professor and joint Head of Demography and Social Statistics in the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Southampton, and jointly co-ordinates the fertility and family strand of CPC, as well as working on some projects within the life course strand.
