The Ageing South East. Challenges and Opportunities

18 December 2012 - CPC Director, Professor Jane Falkingham, recently presented at the South East England Councils Ageing Population Workshop, a joint event by South East England Councils, South East Strategic Leaders & SE Strategic Partnership for Migration.

The event, which took place at Church House, Westminster, included a range of experienced and inspiring speakers, including Anne Milton MP, who helped to inform and stimulate discussion and action planning.

The South East has the largest number of older people in England, expected to grow by half again over the next 20 years. Urgent work is needed to tackle the challenges and seize the opportunities this brings.
