  • Coming of Age: The 21st PopFest Conference

CPC is pleased to sponsor the 21st PopFest Conference which is to be held at the University of Southampton between 8 - 10 July 2013. This established annual postgraduate population studies conference is a great opportunity for postgraduate research students from a wide range of disciplines to present their work and develop their networks. The conference theme 'Coming of Age' marks the 21st Birthday of PopFest and its return to its birthplace of the University of Southampton, which hosted the very first PopFest Conference.

Plenary lectures come from Professor David Martin who will share his extensive knowledge and experience in the practical application of statistical methodologies in his positions of co-Director of both the ESRC UK Data Service and ESRC National Centre for Research Methods and Dr Diana Lopez-Falcon, of the Population Europe Secretariat, who will discuss policy issues in population studies, and the challenges and possibilities for demographers in the future.

Paper or poster submissions are now being accepted, please submit abstracts (up to 500 words) to popfest2013@southampton.ac.uk. Deadline for submissions is 1st March 2013.
