  • Young Adulthood: aspirations and realities for living and learning in the 21st Century

As part of the ESRC Secondary Data Analysis Initiative, Dr Ann Berrington has been awarded funding to examine 'Young Adulthood: aspirations and realities for living and learning in the 21st Century'.

The project will investigate how UK young adults' transitions to independent living and housing pathways have responded to recent social change including the expansion of higher education, economic recession, and the increased unaffordability of housing.

The research will use a number of resources including Understanding Society and the English Housing Survey.

For further information on completed CPC research on young adults' housing and independent living, see the roundup from our 2012 policy event.
