How to live to 100 - and enjoy it!

Significant issues affecting every individual's life course are often hard to discern behind abstract figures like the number of births, the mortality rate, or net migration. To address this CPC has been successful in gaining ESRC funding to bring a major European exhibition to the UK. The exhibition aims to unravel the challenges and opportunities associated with demographic research. Through ten topical exhibition stands, interactive activities, information and games we will present this abstract knowledge in a way that allows visitors to recognise and reflect on how these demographic issues affect, and will affect, their own lives.

The project to develop and tour this exhibition across Europe is being led by the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research, Germany, with CPC taking the lead on bringing the project to the UK. CPC has developed the content of the exhibition, ensuring its suitability for a UK audience, in conjunction with Population Europe, a network of leading European population experts.

The exhibition is expected to tour venues in Southampton, London, Cardiff, Birmingham and Edinburgh in October, November and December 2014. Look out for further information coming soon...
