  • CPC's Director gives evidence to the Public Administration Select Committee

    On 25 February 2014, Professor Jane Falkingham was invited to give evidence to the Public Administration Select Committee (PASC) on the future of the Census.

    The Committee heard from academics, experts and users about the options for the Census, following the Office for National Statistics' recent consultation on the options for the future provision of population statistics. This session was part of the Committee's wider programme of work on statistics and their use in Government. The National Statistician has since recommended a predominantly online census in 2021 supplemented by the further use of administrative and survey data. Read more.
