  • CPC sponsors Popfest

    CPC is pleased to once again sponsor the annual Population Studies conference for postgraduate students, PopFest.

    This years conference will for the first time in its history be held outside of the UK. The 2011 conference will be held at the University of Groningen, Netherlands between 27th and 29th June.

    The conference, which is now in it's twentieth year, attracts young researchers working on a wide range of population based issues, including fertility, mortality, migration & integration, ageing, life course, sexual and reproductive behaviour and rights, household and family demography, population policies, data and methodological issues, and historical demography.

    Supported by the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute, British Society of Population Studies, the Population Research Centre of University of Groningen, the ESRC Centre for Population Change and the Healthy Ageing Network Northern Netherlands, the conference provides a constructive and supportive environment for postgraduates to present and discuss their work.
