  • CPC-CG embeds communication and education throughout all of its research projects, aiming to encourage stakeholder engagement and participation throughout the research process. We regularly give talks and interactive lessons to pupils and students, we take part in a variety of activities to bring our research to life for the public and we hold dedicated seminars and workshops for groups with particular interests.

We hold roundtables, discussions and panels with public policy actors in Westminster, Holyrood and government departments.

We use a wide range of methods to gather our evidence, from in-depth interviews with individuals and families, through to complex statistical and economic modelling, and deliver bespoke training courses on methods.

Our research has been displayed in a variety of venues including pubs, schools, shopping centres, museums and international conference centres all with the aim of improving people's understanding of population and demography.

We won the ESRC Impact Prize for Public Policy Impact in 2020

These research projects and activities are co-ordinated by Professor Jane Falkingham, Teresa McGowan and Becki Dey.
